Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 June 2026
SportStack ("SportStack", "we", "us") provides web services to sport and community organizations. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — such as your name, organization, email address and the details you include when you submit our contact or newsletter forms.
- Information collected automatically — basic, aggregated technical data (such as pages visited) where analytics are enabled, used only to improve the site.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To send grant alerts and updates if you have asked to receive them.
- To operate, maintain and improve our website and services.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Consent
By submitting a form you consent to us using your information for the purpose it was provided. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this will not affect work already underway.
Service providers
We use trusted third parties to operate the site — including our form-handling provider (FormSubmit) and our Canadian hosting infrastructure. These providers process information only on our behalf and only as needed to deliver the service.
Where your data lives
SportStack is Canadian-owned and Canadian-hosted. We aim to keep client data on Canadian infrastructure. Some service providers may process limited information outside Canada; where that happens, the information remains subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and then securely delete or anonymize it.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information at every step.
Children
Our website is intended for organizations and their administrators, not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above when we do, and significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
